Catching Raindrops

A summer rain poured down after school. I stepped onto the porch and held out both hands.

One drop hit my palm and broke into tiny pieces. Another landed right on my nose and I laugh.

Mom brought me a big empty glass. Together we tried to catch enough rain to fill it, one drop at a time.
