Finding Grandpa's Diary

While cleaning the attic with Mom, I found a thin brown leather diary that belonged to my late grandfather when he was fifteen.

His handwriting was neat and small. He wrote about his first bicycle, a crush on a neighbor, and a baseball game that his team lost by one run.

I read slowly, feeling closer to him than I ever did when he was alive. Mom said I could keep the diary in my own bedroom.
