My First Babysitting Job

The family next door asked if I could watch their four-year-old twins on a Saturday night. I had never babysat alone before.

I brought coloring books and a plan to bake simple cookies. The twins were sweet but had endless questions about my freckles and my name.

They fell asleep during the third bedtime story. I felt weirdly proud when their parents came home and the house was spotless.
