Leading the School Recycling Drive

I pitched a new recycling drive to our principal — three colored bins in every hallway, labeled in big clear letters.

She said yes if I could find five other volunteer to help. By Friday, I had seven signed up, plus the janitor who loved the idea.

In the first month, we filled over a hundred bins. Our school newsletter called us the "Green Squad." I keep that issue on my bedroom wall.
