Pancakes for Breakfast

On Sunday morning Mom made a tall stack of golden pancake. They smelled like butter and sugar.

I poured warm syrup on the top. A little river of syrup ran down the side of each pancake.

Dad came in with a big mug of milk. We all sat at the table and ate until our bellies were round and full.
