A Rainy Day Surprise

It was a rainy Monday, and I forgot my umbrella at home. On the way to school, the rain made huge puddle on the sidewalk.

When I finally arrived, my classmates looked at me like a wet puppy. My shoes squeaked. My backpack was soaked. I wanted to disappear.

Then my best friend Mia walked over. She gave me her spare umbrella and a dry pair of sneakers. I will always remember that kindness. A rainy day can hide the biggest surprise.
