Peanut the Class Hamster

Our class pet is a little hamster named Peanut. He lives in a big cage near the classroom window. Peanut loves to run in his tiny wheel.

Every Friday one student takes Peanut home. This week it is my turn! I gave him a small piece of carrot and he held it with both paws.

At bedtime, Peanut curled into a tiny ball in his soft bed. I watched him sleep and smiled.
