Volunteering at the Animal Shelter

Over the summer, I volunteer at the local animal shelter. I walked dogs, cleaned cages, and brushed scared kittens.

At first the work was hard and smelly. But every tail wag made me smile. Kindness, I learned, gets easier with practice.
